Discover Malta while chasing those Sunsets from different locations. Malta, being a small island has multiple spots from where you can catch the sun setting over the horizon and believe it or not all these places are reachable within 30/45mins drive, on average. Take a bottle of your favourite bubbly and enjoy a magnificent and memorable sunset from any one or all of our suggested locations.    

Popeye Village, is situated in Anchor Bay in Mellieħa, Once the set for the 1980s film, Popeye. This location gives you the possibility to truly admire Mother Nature at work. From the pier, you can watch the sun setting behind the cliffs and reflecting on the colourful buildings of Popeye Village.


Għajn Tuffieħa, is a natural sandy beach surrounded by clay mounds, limestone cliffs and historic towers. Located only 15mins away from M31, we guarantee you will be blowen away by the spectacular sun setting across the glistening Mediterranean Sea.


Fomm Ir-Riħ, Mgarr  is not easily accessible by car; a short walk with the right shoes will lead you to the majestic cliffs, the highlight of the area. This small bay is surrounded by white cliffs and pebbled beaches a place of unspoilt natural beauty. This is an ideal spot for a romantic picnic with a panoramic sunset over the sea.


Dingli Cliffs - Standing at Dingli Cliffs, looking out at the vast expanse of Mediterranean Sea is an awe-inspiring feeling in itself. This is the perfect spot to watch the sky change colour as the sun sets over the little island of Filfa.


Wied Iż-Żurrieq is where you can find the well-known cave, Blue Grotto. One may visit the many sea caves that are located in the vicinity by taking a traditional fishing boat tour, while enjoying the golden sun setting in the distance. A picture-perfect spot that captures Malta’s beauty.

To start off your traditional Maltese food experience, a must-do first, would be the Maltese classic, pastizzi. A delicious savoury snack made with filo pastry and filled with either peas or ricotta. You can find them in pastizzerias practically on every corner and generally cost 0.50c. Another must try snack would be the Hobż iz-żejt (Maltese bread with oil) and Ftira b iz-żejt. This appetizer uses Maltese bread as its base, topped with a sweet tomato paste (kunserva), drizzled with olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, tuna, and sometimes capers, green olives, and chopped green peppers. From savoury Maltese cuisine, to bite-sized sweets. Our diamond-shaped traditional Imqaret (date cakes) Filled with dates, the pastries is then deep-fried and sometimes served with ice-cream.
